While out looking for a weather feature, on a day when it wasn’t really even raining, I found a patch of green and orange, next to dried mud, next to a marsh, under some clouds. Seemed to work.

I made this photo back in September of the annual cross country relays at Stinson Beach in California. I liked the photo a lot at the time, but had not thought about it much since then. Today, a reader was nice enough to send me an email today letting me know how much he liked the photo. I rarely hear from readers, so it was a nice way to end the day.
